Nicola Downing
Chief Executive Officer, Ricoh Europe
Under Nicola’s leadership, Ricoh Europe is building on its strong legacy in workplace optimisation, digital transformation and print innovation as it helps more than 156,000 customers to grow, enter new markets and retain talent. In the financial year ended March 2023, Ricoh Europe had revenue of 3,643 million euros.
Nicola is a committed blogger, writing regularly on topical subjects such as hybrid working, the future of work, diversity in the workplace and employee wellbeing. Nicola holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from University College London and is a qualified solicitor. She lives in St Albans, UK, with her husband and son.
Tim Stuart
Chief Financial Officer, Ricoh Europe
Tim is CFO at Ricoh Europe. He is responsible for Finance, Tax, Treasury, Ricoh Business Services, Group Legal and Procurement. Tim joined Ricoh in September 2016 having previously held senior finance positions at two FTSE 100 listed companies (Informa Plc and Whitbread Plc). Prior to that, he spent 13 years in audit practice, with 10 years at KPMG.
Tim qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Baker Tilly. Tim holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mathematics from the University of Reading. Tim’s hobbies include football and golf. He lives with his wife in the Chilterns.
Seiya Iwanaga
Chief Corporate Planning Officer, Ricoh Europe
Seiya is responsible for Corporate Planning at Ricoh Europe with the objective of streamlining our strategic direction and initiatives across the group. He also looks after our European Technology Centre (ETC) – the regional hub for developing products and services in close alignment with the evolving needs of our customers. Seiya joined Ricoh in 1995, initially based in Japan, with expertise in Sales and Marketing for international markets. In 2005 he took on a European role in Corporate Planning, working with teams across Europe, including the UK and Italy, for ten years. Seiya returned to Japan to drive new business development with the R&D function until 2021, when he returned to Europe in his current role.
Seiya holds a Bachelor's (BA) degree in Business Administration from the International Christian University in Tokyo. He has a wife and daughter and alongside his passion for travelling, he is an avid wine enthusiast.
Caroline Bright
Chief Strategy & Commercial Officer, Ricoh Europe
Caroline is responsible for strategy development and execution across EMEA as well as all commercial functions including – Sale and Sales Operations, Portfolio Management, Product Development, Strategic Alliances, Marketing and Customer Value Management. Caroline also leads Ricoh Capital, the leasing and finance business. In leading the EMEA commercial P&L, Caroline is focused on driving sustainable, long-term profitable growth and future proofing the business by driving strategic alignment and embedding a customer first-culture.
Caroline joined Ricoh in 2019 bringing with her over 20 years’ B2B experience and a strong track record in market-led business transformation. Prior to Ricoh, Caroline has held multiple senior commercial roles, including Global CMO, Managing Director (Eastern Europe) and Business Development Director. She has also served as a Senior Management Consultant advising C-Suite leaders across a wide variety of B2B industries on strategy, transformation, organisational design and how to drive market impact. Caroline holds an MBA (Distinction) from Warwick Business School and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Politics from the University of York. Caroline lives with her husband and two sons just outside London.
Brian Murray
Interim Chief People Officer
Brian joined Ricoh in 2024 as Interim Chief People Officer and is focussed on the people and culture agenda across Ricoh EMEA. This includes acquiring, developing and retaining talent, as well as delivering exceptional employee experience.
Brian is an experienced HR professional who has worked in a number of international blue-chip companies including Coca-Cola, Unilever and Nomad Foods (Europe's largest frozen food business) where he was CPO for over 10 years and supported the business growth from 8 to 22 countries in Europe. In recent years he has undertaken various interim assignments including spending a year as Interim Chief People Officer at Manchester Airports Group, owners of Manchester, East Midlands and Stansted airports, where he supported the return to full operations post Covid-19, helping them become one of the first airports in the UK to return to pre-pandemic volumes. He holds an MBA from the University of Edinburgh and a Bachelor's degree (BSc) from Loughborough University.
Nick Pearson
Chief Information Officer, Ricoh Europe
Nick is responsible for IT, technology platforms, the RDX consulting area and cybersecurity across our EMEA business. Nick has a passion for technology innovation and ensuring a seamless digital experience for both customers and employees. He leads a highly skilled team of professionals who leverage the very latest technology to offer world-class workspace experiences to our customers.
Nick joined Ricoh Europe in 2023, having previously held senior technology leadership positions in Fortune 50 and FTSE 100 companies across telecommunications, consumer goods and retail industries. Nick holds a Bachelor's (BSc) degree in Computer Science from Durham University. He channels his passion for teamwork into coaching youth sports and enjoys travel and outdoor adventures with his family.
Alberto Mariani
Chief Digital Investment Officer, Ricoh Europe
Alberto is responsible for mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances and innovation centres of excellence across EMEA. He also oversees operations at PFH Technologies, MTI, DataVision, Avantage and SimplicITy (Ricoh Group companies). Alberto joined Ricoh Italy in 2003, where he held positions in Marketing, Sales and Business Development, working closely with the CEO office. In 2012, he moved to Ricoh Europe to establish and develop our IT services and communication services businesses across EMEA. Five years later, he was appointed Senior Vice President for Office Services, achieving significant organic sales growth while completing over 20 mergers and acquisitions.
Alberto holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics and Marketing from ISC University in Milan, where he lives with his wife and two sons.
Chris Hopton
Chief Executive Officer, Ricoh Northern Europe Region
Chris is CEO for all Ricoh entities across northern Europe. This includes operations in the UK, Ireland, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Norway, Finland, Sweden and Denmark. He also has responsibility for Pure AV, Orbid, Upfront and AVC (Ricoh Group Companies). Chris joined Ricoh Europe in 2017, bringing with him over 15 years’ B2B experience and a strong track record in transforming sales teams. He has held multiple senior commercial roles within Ricoh Europe driving sales transformation and profitable growth. Chris built a career spanning more than a decade at the Danwood Group, where he held an executive board position until the sale of the business.
He has a passion for people development and creating sales environments where everyone can succeed. Chris holds a Bachelor’s degree (BA) in Management from the University of Hull and lives in the UK with his wife, Diane, and their two young boys who keep them very active. In his spare time Chris enjoys running and travelling with his family.
Andrea Gombac
Chief Services Officer, Ricoh Europe
Andrea is responsible for overseeing integrated delivery and fulfilment across 25 countries in EMEA, supporting the implementation of Ricoh’s digital services and solutions portfolio for our customers across the region. He is an innovation-driven executive with over 25 years of experience working with industry leaders in the ICT market across business development, presales, customer service and digital transformation. Andrea joined Ricoh Italy in 2014 as Director of Customer Service and, six years later, joined Ricoh Europe as Vice President of Service and Annuity before taking on the role of Chief Services Officer.
Andrea is particularly interested in reshaping the role of service organisations in the context of platform business models and the servitisation of product-centric business models. He lives in Milan where he loves spending time with his family, traveling and tinkering with technology.
Eef de Ridder
Vice President, Graphic Communications Group, Ricoh Europe
Eef is responsible for all Ricoh production printing solutions sold in the graphic arts and corporate/enterprise market. Eef joined Ricoh in 2008 as Vice President Commercial Print Industry, overseeing the development and operational implementation of the sales and marketing strategy in the graphic arts market in EMEA. Prior to that Eef ran Knighthood, his own sales and marketing consultancy. He also worked at Xerox for more than 20 years, where he held a number of national and international senior management positions in Sales and Marketing.
Eef is a graduate of Inholland University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands and currently resides in Amsterdam.
Mark Taylor
Chief Executive Officer, Ricoh Central & Eastern Europe Region
Mark is responsible for overseeing business operations and strategy across Central & Eastern Europe, driving trading profit growth for both direct and partner sales channels. Mark joined Ricoh in 2020, following a relocation from South Africa, bringing over 35 years of experience in IT, banking, telecommunications and office services.
Mark has a strong track record in delivering growth in profit and business transformation. Mark has two adult children and lives in St Albans with his wife of more than 35 years.
Raphaël Zaccardi
Chief Executive Officer, French entities
Raphaël is responsible for leading operations across our entities in France (Ricoh France, Ricoh Capital France, Rex Rotary and Corelia). He has been with Ricoh for over 35 years, having joined the group in 1986. Raphael started his longstanding career with the company in Sales and has since held CEO positions at Ricoh Switzerland, Ricoh Netherlands, Ricoh Germany and Ricoh Scandinavia.
Raphaël enjoys spending time with his wife and three children and is a big football fan, having played for the French under-18 national team in his youth.
Tina Smith
Chief Executive Officer, Ricoh International Region
Tina is CEO of Ricoh’s International Region. This involves leading direct operations in Turkey and South Africa as well as indirect operations for Ricoh’s extensive network of more than 200 partners via Ricoh International BV and Ricoh Middle East. Tina is focused on growing our market profile and driving success for customers and partners in this opportunity filled region. Tina joined the Ricoh Group in 2006 as a qualified lawyer. She held several leadership positions before expanding her remit to include overseeing IT, Shared Services, Procurement, and Supply Chain. She has a track record of driving transformation and leading teams through change.
Tina holds a Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) from King’s College London as well as a Master of Laws degree (LLM) from the university of Cambridge. She lives in north London with her husband and two sons.
Ramon Martin
Chief Executive Officer, Spanish entities
Ramon is responsible for driving business transformation and strategic digital services acquisitions across Spain and Portugal. In addition, Ramon oversees operations at IPM, TotalStor and Pamafe (Ricoh Group companies). Ramon joined the Ricoh Group in 1999 as Financial Director. In 2007, he was appointed Deputy Managing Director of Ricoh Spain and became COO in 2012.
He holds a degree in Economics and Business from the University of Barcelona and an MBA from the ESADE Business School. Ramon also has a General Management Program certification from IESE – a business school where he lectures on strategic management. Ramon lives on the outskirts of Barcelona with his wife and two daughters.
Davide Oriani
Chief Executive Officer, Italian entities
Davide is responsible for leading strategy and business operations in the Italian market. This includes his roles of CEO at Ricoh Italy and President at NPO Sistemi, Mauden and Ricoh Capital Italy (Ricoh Group companies). Davide has been with Ricoh Italy since it was formed in 1990, holding senior leadership roles in Marketing and Sales. Davide was appointed Managing Director in 2003 and CEO in 2010, overseeing local mergers and acquisitions to expand Ricoh’s capabilities in the IT services space.
Davide has a daughter and son and lives with his wife near Milan.
