The Pro VC80000 offers the quality and durability to produce even the most demanding applications.  It can print a wide range of coated and uncoated offset stocks and inkjet papers from 40 – 250 gsm, and up to 300 gsm with optional Heavy Paper Kit, enabling it to produce a wide variety of high value print.  The optional undercoater may enhance results on offset stocks.  The 584mm paper width gives layout flexibility and is ideal for key book formats, photobooks, and more.

Superior quality from the first print to the last

The press delivers amazing, full offset print quality with pin sharp 1200 dpi print quality and Ricoh wide gamut inks.  It also has outstanding image stability due to its temperature controlled printheads.  Furthermore, potential print quality issues are addressed in real time with the optional Automation Suite undertaking jet-out compensation, print uniformity & density adjustment, and front to back registration even as the press is printing.  That means that the operator no longer has to manually monitor the output quality from the press nor make manual adjustments to maintain the print quality – freeing them up to focus on other tasks.

Productivity enhanced with advanced automation and workflow features

It isn’t just the press speed of 150 m/min – with drying power to match - that makes the Pro VC80000 so productive.  It incorporates automated press calibration and makeready – which can even be set to run before operators arrive, saving them time every day.  It can print during ramp-up and ramp-down, ensuring the best utilisation of press and media.  It also offers support for auto-splicing which can help minimise production time lost due to reel changes.  Furthermore, intelligent predictive maintenance helps to keep the press operational by identifying components that are nearing end of their useful lives l so that they can be replaced just when its needed.

Simplified print production line operation and management

The Pro VC80000 was conceived to keep things as simple as possible for the operator and to facilitate management of the whole line.  Automated Paper Calibrations enable new papers to be profiled easily with the setting saved for use again and again.  Manual interventions are minimised: front to back registration, density compensation, and uniformity correction are all automated.  The use of 200kg ink barrels reduces ink changes by almost 20x versus the Pro VC70000.  There’s also enhanced inline finishing management with two way press-finishing communication to optimise the speed of the whole line and a Slow Mode for finishing adjustments.
