Ricoh passes rigorous Keypoint Intelligence security testing program for multifunction printers
Targeting connected MFPs and printers, the program establishes industry standard benchmarks in the areas of Device Penetration, Policy Compliance, and Firmware Resilience. The program comprises hands-on testing in concert with accredited security testing firms.
During two years of program development, Keypoint Intelligence solicited input from leading document imaging OEMs including Ricoh. The result is a three-track test suite that addresses security from various vectors to ensure devices are safeguarded against vulnerabilities. The firmware featured on Ricoh’s IM Series* of intelligent devices passed the Device Penetration portion of the suite.
Olivier Vriesendorp, Vice President of Product Marketing, Ricoh Europe, adds: “Passing such a stringent test relating to a pressing business issue is a testament to the importance and value we place in information security. Helping to safeguard our customers operations through dependable, high performing and secure devices allows them to focus on their core business activities.”
