Ricoh partners with Frame Magazine to bring ‘phygital’ art to life through technology at Milan Design Week

Ricoh Europe, 06 April 2016 – Technology specialist Ricoh has partnered with Frame Magazine to bring to life an experiential exhibition at Milan Design Week through the use of its Communication Services technology (12-17 April at La Posteria, situated within the heart of Milan’s Brera district at Via G. Sacchi 5/7).

Ricoh will provide the full AV infrastructure for the exhibition entitled ‘What’s the Matter?’, which will feature up-and-coming designers set within award-winning scenography by Studio Laviani. The technology provision includes Ricoh’s range of interactive whiteboards, projectors and 360 degree Theta camera. Studio Laviani will use Ricoh’s full range of projectors to tell the story of a blurring world between digital matter and physical design to create a ‘phygital’ realm.

Visitors to the exhibition can:

  • Discover unique, immersive AV experiences powered by Ricoh projectors
  • Feature in the 360 degree live stream spherically capturing the event
  • Learn how you to use and apply Ricoh technology to transform their organisation

Alberto Mariani, Director of IT Infrastructure Services, Ricoh Europe, says: “At Ricoh we pride ourselves on pushing boundaries and helping businesses thrive into the digital age. Through our longstanding heritage in photography and print, we have forged an undeniable bond with imagery. Our evolving range of visual communication technology is the next natural step in this expansion.
