Ricoh named in “Clarivate Top 100 Global Innovators 2022” list
TOKYO, February 24, 2022 – Ricoh has been recognized in the “Clarivate Top 100 Global Innovators 2022” list as announced today by Clarivate Plc, a global leader in providing trusted information and insights to accelerate the pace of innovation. Clarivate recognition is given to organizations that demonstrate consistent, above-the-bar innovation excellence and which sit at the very top of the global innovation ecosystem.
To select the top 100 global innovators, Clarivate analyzes patent trends using the proprietary index based on its own patent data. It evaluates companies according to five indicators: Volume of inventive activity (registered patents in the past five years), Success (percentage of applications approved as patents), Globalization (number of patents applied in major markets), Influence (frequency of own patents being cited by other companies’ patents), and Technical Distinctiveness. This marks the third time Ricoh has featured on the list.
