Ricoh extends security capabilities with acquisition of ZeedSecurity
Ricoh Europe, London, 26 February 2019 – Ricoh Spain (Ricoh) has expanded its security offering through the acquisition of ZeedSecurity software.
The software platform enables the assessment and maintenance of security across all connected devices in a network. Using artificial intelligence (AI), the software collects real-time information, assesses vulnerability levels and advises on action required to mitigate security risks.
Ramon Martin Valcarcel, CEO, Ricoh Spain, says: “We are continually looking at how we can offer the very best products and services to our customers. Unsurprisingly, security is high on the agenda of every customer, regardless of their size or industry, and this acquisition will enable us to offer significantly enhanced security solutions across every connected device in our customers’ digital workplaces.”
Alberto Mariani, Senior Vice President of Office Services, Ricoh Europe, concludes: “This acquisition adds a valuable new dimension to our security capabilities and is part of our strategy to invest and grow, both organically and inorganically. I look forward to seeing the positive impact this investment has on our customers who will be able to benefit from an increased range of advanced security solutions.”
Ricoh features in the Quocirca Global Print Security Landscape, 2019. The report notes that ‘Ricoh has invested in the capability to provide robust printing solutions that meet the most demanding security and performance requirements.’ It also states how ‘Ricoh continues to invest and enhance its security capabilities beyond print’ and that it ‘leverages customer-driven innovation through its “voice of the customer” advisory boards to create and deliver relevant security services and solutions.’
