Ricoh’s presence at the ISE brought to life its Connect & Collaborate offering, which enables effective and efficient collaboration within businesses. Technologies on show included next generation interactive whiteboards, projectors and video conferencing systems.
Alberto Mariani, Director of IT Infrastructure Services, Ricoh Europe, said: “We are extremely proud that three of our Communication Services offerings were selected as winners in their categories, out of thousands of products shown at ISE 2016. Ricoh has continued to evolve its ‘connect and collaborate’ expertise and offerings to meet the demands of Europe’s digitally focused workforce. With an ever-increasing number of professionals needing to access, collate and share information on-demand – regardless of where they are based – our solutions enable advanced remote and cross-border working.”
About the winning products The Ricoh P3500 Unified Communication System is a video conferencing solution that integrates video, audio, text and interactive media using a lightweight device with an A4 footprint that can be carried easily for collaborative meetings via the internet. It is very simple to setup and can be used to link multiple sites.

The P3500 was awarded an iF Design Award, a prestigious honour that has been presented by iF International Forum Design GmbH, one of the world’s leaders in design promotion for industrial products, since 1953. Winning products, selected from over 4,700, are highly esteemed and renowned for superior design.

The Ricoh Huddle Space Meeting Room Concept is a solution to efficiently utilise an open space in an office environment by converting them into a 'productive collaboration area' helping customers maximise their real-estate. Using the Ricoh 21.5" Interactive whiteboard as the core product, with sound-dampening panels and seating space for 4-6 people - it is a non-bookable meeting space, enabling teams to collaborate quickly and easily for effective decision making and increased productivity.

The Ricoh Wearable Video Conferencing Device Concept is one step into the future realm of wearable technologies for enterprise users. The device consists of a head-mounted display (HMD), forward-facing camera, and a battery pack together with touch controls. Wearable video conferencing has applications in specific customer environments – healthcare, logistics, hazardous environments etc – where a remote field technician or a surgeon can consult back with an expert back in another location via video, and show them what is being viewed using the front-facing camera. Ricoh is running proof of concept trials in logistics and off-shore mining environments.
