Zorg-Saam: Secure online collaboration with the right Microsoft solutions
The Company:
Zorg-Saam ZKJ is a leading Belgian provider of elderly care, operating 16 care homes across East Flanders, Flemish Brabant and Antwerp. With nearly 2,000 employees and 600 volunteers, the organisation delivers high quality, modern care, supported by a strong focus on innovation within its ICT strategy.
Challenge:
As the elderly care sector becomes increasingly digital, Zorg-Saam needed a secure way for employees across multiple locations to collaborate and share information. At the same time, the organisation had to ensure strict protection of sensitive healthcare data and comply with growing security and governance requirements.
Solution & Benefits:
Zorg Saam partnered with Orbid, a Ricoh company, to define a centrally managed IT policy and deliver secure Microsoft based collaboration. Orbid supported both IT strategy and execution, including the migration of 15 Microsoft Exchange servers to Microsoft 365, the rollout of SharePoint and Microsoft Teams, and the implementation of additional Microsoft 365 security controls. This enabled secure collaboration across care homes while protecting sensitive healthcare data.
