Employing 300 people — and an additional 250 temporary staff during busy periods — the company handles up to 50,000 orders for personalised gifts every day, including chocolate bars, gift boxes, glassware, sports equipment, and much more.
Challenge:
With demand rapidly increasing for its personalised gift packaging, YourSurprise looked to expand its production capacity and capabilities. In particular, new collaborations with famous chocolate, wine, and whisky brands meant that the company needed to print larger output and customised text, logos, and imagery with higher colour consistency and quality.
Solution and benefits:
After viewing a beta installation during a visit to the United States, YourSurprise decided to use the RICOH Pro™ Z75 to increase its production capacity. The B2+ format printer enables the preparation of completely new products, including large advent calendars from a single piece of card. High production speeds of 4,500 sheets per hour mean the company can meet growing demand for personalised output, even during busy periods, while the printer offers excellent colour consistency and reliability.
