The Company:
LVM Insurance, headquartered in Münster, is one of Germany's leading general insurers. With over 4,000 employees at its headquarters and a total of 11,730 across its agencies throughout Germany, LVM offers comprehensive insurance services in all lines of business. A key component of its customer communication is its in-house printing facility, which produces approximately 15.5 million letters annually – equivalent to about 40 million A4 pages.
Challenge:
Printed communication remains highly valued at LVM Insurance. Many customers appreciate holding important information in their hands. At the same time, the printing department faces increasing demands: paper and material costs are rising, technical maintenance is becoming more complex, and digitalisation is changing processes and expectations. LVM Insurance is therefore pursuing the goal of further developing its in-house production efficiently, sustainably, and with a focus on quality.
Solution & Benefits:
As part of the strategic development of its in-house printing department, LVM Insurance opted for the Ricoh Pro VC20000 high-speed inkjet printing system. The combination of speed, ease of use, and collaborative partnership with Ricoh makes it a key component for the future of in-house production. Large print runs that previously required several days and extra shifts can now be completed in a single shift. This saves time and resources and allows for more flexible staffing.
"The Pro VC20000 is fast, efficient, and easy to maintain; real added value for our inhouse print shop."
