South African pioneer InsideData invests in Africa's first RICOH Pro™ VC80000

The company’s offerings include print on demand, variable data printing, online customer communication management solutions, data storage, and warehousing and fulfilment services.
Challenge:
InsideData creates a wide range of output for customers, including educational books, personalised direct mail, and brochures and flyers. The company has always a been a pioneer in the print industry in South Africa, and was one of the first in the country to invest in continuous feed digital inkjet technologies. To drive efficiencies and continue to deliver outstanding customer services, InsideData looked to upgrade its production capabilities.
Solution & Benefits:
InsideData installed the first Pro VC80000 high speed inkjet system anywhere in Africa. The new Ricoh printer enables the company to print up to 150 metres per minute, with 1200 dpi resolution, and using automation to streamline production and maintain quality. InsideData Deputy CEO Tinus Grobler is confident that the investment will help to generate major benefits, including higher production efficiency and profitability.
