Harnessing HPE GreenLake for service-based IT infrastructure

The Bell Food Group is one of the leading meat and convenience food processors in Europe. Its product range includes fresh meat, poultry, charcuterie, seafood, as well as ultra-fresh, fresh, and shelf-stable convenience and vegetarian products. Around 13,000 employees in 15 countries generate annual sales of over CHF 4.5 billion.
Challenge:
Following rapid growth via multiple acquisitions, Bell Food Group’s IT environment was becoming increasingly heterogeneous. Finding specialists with the skills to manage the environment was challenging, and it was difficult to ensure performance and 24/7 availability for critical applications. To solve these problems, Bell Food Group decided to standardise the IT infrastructure, and engage a partner to manage the systems.
Solution & Benefits:
Bell Food Group decided to work with Lake Solutions AG, a Ricoh company, to implement a new IT infrastructure at a new central data centre, including HPE servers and storage, with a HPE GreenLake as-a-service contract that delivers scalability, security, agility, and cost transparency. With Lake Solutions now handling infrastructure procurement and management, Bell Food Group has more capacity to focus on value-add work.
