Single Pass Print Bar Manufacturing
We design and manufacture robust, adaptable single pass print bar systems tailored to customer applications. Our multidisciplinary teams provide mechanical design, electronics and PCB development, software engineering and motion control expertise – including thermal management, fluid dynamics optimisation, encoder integration and servo tuning. This ensures precise alignment, stable jetting performance and seamless integration into customer production lines.
Media-Free Evaluation System
Designed and built by Ricoh, the Media-Free Evaluation System (MFES) provides an objective and consistent method for assessing jetting reliability and system stability. With integrated image processing capabilities and real-time data capture, MFES enables detailed analysis of droplet size, position, volume and ligament separation.
This platform supports both internal development and customer validation, helping to reduce risk and optimise performance before full system deployment.
Plant Based Ink
RPSE’s Plant Based Ink (PBI) is a pigment-based oil ink developed for packaging, coding and marking, and general paper and décor applications. Formulated using plant-derived oil carriers, it delivers industry-leading print density and exceptional nozzle open time, with minimal drying requirements.
Compliant with REACH and RoHS directives, and aligned with evolving circular economy regulations, PBI reduces integration complexity by offering a combined printhead, print bar and ink package solution.
Field Service & Support
Our Integrated Services are supported by Ricoh’s extensive global service infrastructure. Customers can benefit from comprehensive Ricoh support delivered by specialist technicians across EMEA or opt for tailored training programmes that enable empowered in-house Level 1 support.

Additive Manufacturing
Our in-house 3D design and additive manufacturing capability supports rapid prototyping, functional optimisation and production part consolidation. By reducing component complexity and accelerating development cycles, we help customers achieve faster routes to market, improved part performance and greater design freedom.
How does Integrated Services support sustainable printing?
Sustainability is embedded within our Integrated Services strategy. By designing solutions that reduce energy consumption, minimise waste and support responsible sourcing, we actively contribute to Ricoh’s global environmental commitments and the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Our Plant Based Ink technology reduces reliance on mineral oil derivatives and supports lower CO₂ emissions compared with conventional alternatives. With low VOC content, no added biocides and compliance with key environmental regulations, it provides a more sustainable solution for packaging and paper applications while maintaining high jetting reliability and performance.
Through additive manufacturing, we consolidate components, reduce material waste and optimise product lifecycles. Rapid prototyping and localised production capabilities help minimise excess inventory and shorten development cycles, supporting more efficient resource use.
The Media Free Evaluation System further enhances sustainability by enabling precise performance validation before full production implementation. By identifying optimisation opportunities early, customers can reduce material waste, energy consumption and development risk.
