Ricoh Women’s British Open 2008

Ricoh is the proud sponsor of the 2008 Women’s British Open

31 July – 3 August, Sunningdale Golf Club, England

After a very successful inaugural Ricoh Women's British Open at St Andrews in 2007, Ricoh is very proud to continue its partnership with the only Women's Major being played in Europe in 2008. This year, the tournament will move "south of the border" to the highly reputable Sunningdale Golf Club.

Boasting the most international field of any women's golf event including the defending champion and world number 1, Ms Lorena Ochoa, the players will battle for the coveted title from 31st July – 3rd August. With a prize fund of $2,100,000, the championship promises to be one of the highlights on the 2008 sporting calendar.

The Women’s British Open was established by the Ladies’ Golf Union in 1976, and was designated as one of the four major championships in 2001. This sponsorship underpins Ricoh’s commitment to support ’green’, non-polluting sports and this will be showcased at the Ricoh Marquee, situated in the Tented Village during the Ricoh Women's British Open.

As Ricoh are keen to share our passion for the tournament, a special on-line game is now available at www.ricohwomensbritishopengame.com where you have chance to win some fantastic prizes, including cash vouchers, Ricoh cameras and golf merchandise.
