Priport™JP735/JP755 – Raise the Bar for Low-end, High Volume Printing

Amstelveen, the Netherlands, July 2006 -- Ricoh Europe B.V. today announced the extension of its digital duplicator range with the Priport™JP735/JP755. This new Priport™ is aimed at customers with a limited budget in need of high speed and quality printing. Especially educational institutions and religious organisations will benefit from the low cost operation, including A4 and B4 printing capabilities on various types of paper.

To ensure a continuous paper flow and non-stop printing, the A4 JP735 and B4 JP755 offer Ricoh’s unique Retry Feeding mechanism. This newly developed feature automatically detects paper misfeeds and corrects them without user intervention. Both devices are designed to swiftly handle even the largest of print jobs. With a first print speed of less than 45 seconds, these digital duplicating systems are quickly ready to start printing on a wide range of paper types. Depending on the used paper type, users can select from two print speeds – 60 or 90 pages per minute (ppm) – to produce high speed output at a consistent 300 dpi quality.

With the JP735/JP755 users can now print high volumes on-demand without compromising on quality. Text, illustrations, photos and combined originals appear sharp, crisp and clear in black & white or colour. Additional benefits in print reproduction are obtained by a number of special image modes, improving the quality of photo or letter originals.

The JP735/JP755’s ease of use is complemented by their straightforward and low maintenance requirements. Changing the colour drums or setting the one-touch master is a matter of seconds for any user. All consumables can be replenished quickly and cleanly, saving the user valuable time.

Priport™ digital duplicators can be connected to Windows PC, which ensures fast and efficient print job processing.

“By adding the spot colour printing capability, the JP735/JP755 bring colour to schools and churches. Ricoh even goes one step further by offering a range of custom made colour inks to match specific school logos or individual colour needs” according to Svetlana Lalic, Product Manager at Ricoh Europe’s Marketing Group. “These models give the opportunity to keep high volume printing in house and really take low-end duplication to a new level”.

The Priport™JP735/JP755 are the latest additions to Ricoh's digital duplicator selection. Ricoh currently manufactures one of the world's most extensive line ups of copiers, printers, scanners, faxes and multifunctional devices, as well as advanced software solutions.
