Priport™HQ9000 – Cost Effective Printing with Increased Flexibility

Amstelveen, The Netherlands, February 2006 -- Ricoh Europe B.V. today announced the extension of its digital duplicator range with the Priport™HQ9000. Priport™ duplicators are specialised in dealing efficiently with large duplication jobs while bringing tremendous advantages in cost, speed and reliability. With its easy operation and minimal user intervention, the Priport™HQ9000 is aimed at organisations such as educational institutions, government agencies, corporate departments, health care/non-profit organisations and quick print shops. In short, this digital duplicator provides the cost effective alternative for outsourcing.

Since the introduction of digital duplicating, many industries and associations have discovered the advantages of keeping high volume printing in-house. Especially among users in need of high productivity and ease of use, digital duplicating has become the standard. With the Priport™HQ9000, Ricoh offers demanding users a cost effective solution that meets long run production requirements without user interference.

Besides saving costs, the Priport™HQ9000 offers users the flexibility to print onto a wide range of stocks and create superb quality documents, including photos, graphics and tints, at the touch of a button. The HQ9000 delivers high speed output without giving in on quality. Productivity is never compromised as printing is guaranteed at 8,100 A4 sheets per hour and users can handle up to 250,000 sheets per month.

The Priport™HQ9000 can take care of any print need the user may have. Newsletters, programmes, post cards, memos, fundraising or marketing solicitation materials, training materials and manuals, flyers: this duplicator is capable of printing on a range of paper materials up to 210 g/m² thickness and on a variety of sizes ranging from B4 to A3.

“To quickly produce high volume documents against financial targets, users require easy to use and cost effective production devices,” explains Manabu Ogihara, Product Manager at Ricoh Europe’s Marketing Group. “With the Priport™HQ9000, Ricoh provides a versatile copy/duplication solution that saves schools, churches, governments and other organisations the trouble and costs of outsourcing.”

To optimally increase the user’s efficiency and provide instant access, Priport™ digital duplicators can be connected to the network for fast and efficient print job processing from both Windows® and Macintosh environments. For added value and increased revenue, users can also offer their customers the benefits of including colour in their documents. To match specific company logos or individual colour needs, a wide gamut of colour inks is available.

The Priport™HQ9000 is the latest addition to Ricoh's digital duplicator selection. Ricoh currently manufactures one of the world's most extensive line ups of copiers, printers, scanners, faxes and multifunctional devices, as well as advanced software solutions.
