Priport™HQ7000 – Top Level Document Production

Amstelveen, The Netherlands, April 2006 -- Ricoh Europe B.V. today announced the extension of its digital duplicator range with the Priport™HQ7000. Specialised in efficiently dealing with high volume duplication jobs, Priport™ duplicators bring immense advantages with regards to speed, cost and reliability. With 135 pages per minute and 400 dpi printing, the Priport™HQ7000 is mainly aimed at Central Reprographic Departments (CRDs). Incorporating an intuitive control panel and boasting minimal user intervention, this digital duplicator brings a cost effective combination of productivity and quality.

Priport™ technology stands for quality output at low costs. While maintaining control over costs, users can achieve professional looking print output thanks to high quality inks and master providing true 400 dpi image quality. The HQ7000’s flexible paper feed system enables printing onto a variety of paper types and weights up to A3 in size. From simple forms to more complex print jobs such as newsletters, the HQ7000 produces documents with excellent solid fill, smooth halftone, crisp photographic images and perfect reproduction of fine text and lines.

Delivering increased productivity with cost efficiency, the HQ7000’s fast 135 ppm output speed enables large print runs to be completed instantly. Ricoh’s sophisticated Priport™ technology means the more duplicates from one original, the lower the cost per page.

“Many operators in Central Reprographic Departments are looking for better and quicker ways to meet their long production requirements and avoid outsourcing of larger jobs. Doing so with a tight budget is a true challenge,” explains Manabu Ogihara, Product Manager at Ricoh Europe’s Marketing Group. “With the Priport™HQ7000 Ricoh combines durability, low running costs, high volume capabilities, a small footprint and high speed output to provide a true alternative to outsourcing.”

For fast and efficient print job processing from both Windows® and Macintosh environments, Priport™ digital duplicators can be connected to the network. This increases the user’s efficiency and makes it possible to use the HQ7000 to the maximum. To match user needs for economical on-demand colour printing, Ricoh offers a range of custom made colour inks developed especially for the Priport™ range.

The Priport™HQ7000 is the latest addition to Ricoh's digital duplicator selection. Ricoh currently manufactures one of the world's most extensive line ups of copiers, printers, scanners, faxes and multifunctional devices, as well as advanced software solutions.
