Today’s office workflows involve a sequence of processes starting from inputting, editing and storage to retrieval and distribution. Ricoh‘s new package offers convenient tools to optimise each of these processes: ScanRouter™ EX Professional, ScanRouter™ DocumentServer, ScanRouter™ Web Navigator and DeskTopBinder™ Professional.
On the input side, the fully configurable ScanRouter™ EX Professional facilitates the digitisation of hard copy documents by Ricoh Aficio™ devices. The digital files can then be routed further for instance to any output system in the network, document management system (DMS) or directly to distribution lists. ScanRouter™ EX Professional supports industry authentification systems like Windows® NT so access can be restricted as required.
Up to 50 users can simultaneously access the system that stores, secures and tracks a maximum of no less than 1.5 million documents archived in up to 50,000 folders.
ScanRouter™ DocumentServer allows tracking of documents throughout their lifetime. Full functionality extends from check-in and out, versioning, indexing and text search to retrieval, thumbnail creation and format conversion. DeskTopBinder™ Professional offers edit, deskew, clean up, annotation and indexing capabilities.
ScanRouter™ Web Navigator offers document management by web browsing. As no extra software needs to be installed on the client pc, this frees users from their desktop and network. With Windows®-based PDAs for instance, the user can search, view and print documents.
