For conveniently fast output, users will appreciate the 6.5-second first copy speed and 15-second warm up time. The quick recovery time enables the devices to be kept on stand-by, saving electricity and reducing impact on the environment. Optimised image processing technology with a 600 dpi resolution ensures consistently crisp and clear output. Documents such as business reports, spreadsheets and journals can easily be copied on a variety of materials, from labels to transparencies, providing users with greater creativity and control over their document output. The Aficio™2020D delivers fast double-sided copying for greater efficiency and minimum paper usage.
Compatible with all networks, a range of connectivity options is available to suit diverse working environments. Standard USB 2.0 connectivity enables simple and quick connection for peer-to-peer use, and Ethernet connection, provided as standard, helps optimise network efficiency and workflow levels. Designed with the future in mind, these devices offer optional Wireless LAN and Bluetooth for cable-free connection. A parallel port and IEEE 1394 connection are available as options.
Providing extra value, the easy to use ‘scan to e-mail’ feature enables multi-page hard copy documents to be quickly and economically sent directly to a user’s e-mail from the machines’ control panel. Combined with the RPCS™ driver, users can select the most comprehensive print settings by one click, enabling frequently used settings to be saved and used time and time again. With a user friendly graphic interface, this feature saves users considerable time. Additionally, the LAN fax feature enables faxes to be sent directly from a PC, saving the user time and paper whilst ensuring high image quality for the recipient.
According to Jeroen van Beem, Product Manager at Ricoh Europe B.V.: “These new Aficio™’s are undoubtedly of the most capable A3 MFPs in the small and medium office segment. As they unite the latest printing, copying, scanning, and fax technologies into one easy to use machine, their success is imminent. A wide variety of businesses will be able to reduce the Total Cost of Ownership for office equipment."
The devices come equipped with web based software that significantly reduces time spent on administration by IT managers. Web Image Monitor also enables users to monitor the machines by checking paper tray and toner levels to increase productivity. Network administrators can change network settings, manage e-mail address books and monitor the job log from their PC. Accessed through a standard web browser, Web Image Monitor does not need to be installed on individual PCs, saving time for the network administrator.
