Aficio™3228C, 3235C and 3245C – Ricoh’s New Colour Capable Multifunctionals for Small and Medium Sized Workgroups

Long recognised as a trendsetter in the colour capable MFP market, Ricoh has launched the new series to further progress the ‘black to colour’ strategy it has been following over recent years. Though accepted wisdom shows colour in the office raises communications impact, colour is not always needed. The need for colour capability (or ‘occasional colour’) thus arises.  With these new colour capable units users get all they might require for a modest additional investment only.

With print, copy and scan standard, and fax on option, the units offer touch screen operation, full functional network control, true digital copy functions and high speed automatic duplex. Colour network scanning and via LDAP adds to ‘scan once, copy many’ to provide a full scan capability. By using the existing Windows® network login infrastructure and HDD data protection, safety is raised to the highest level. The wide range of fax features offers ease of use and reduced time at the machine.

Martine Straver, product manager at Ricoh Europe B.V., explains that this new range offers ideal capabilities to serve the needs of a complete floor. “Following on Ricoh’s traditional emphasis on environmental impact, the Aficio™3228C, 3235C and 3245C are also minimal consumable and power users. The units fully comply with the EU’s RoHS* directive and at the same time, they use the new P x P™ toner, which as a result of smaller more uniform particle size, offers clearer images and carbon oxide emissions during the production process are reduced by approximately 30%.”

The Aficio™3228C/3235C/3245C colour mid volume, wide functionality MFPs are the latest in Ricoh's range. They reinforce Ricoh’s current status as manufacturer of one of the world's most extensive line-ups of copiers, printers, scanners, faxes and multifunctional devices, and advanced software solutions.
