Ricoh Europe B.V. Receives CompTIA® CDIA+™ Achievement Award

Amstelveen, The Netherlands, May 2004 -- Ricoh, the leading Office Automation manufacturer, announced it has received the 'Certification Achievement Award' from the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA®). This industry wide acknowledged award recognises Ricoh Europe B.V. for having the highest number of internal CDIA+™ certified employees over the past 12 months.

On April 2, 2004, Mr. Kazuo Togashi, Chairman of Ricoh Europe B.V. and Managing Director of Ricoh Company Ltd., received the prestigious CDIA+™ award from Rudolf Tegelaar, CompTIA® Regional Director for the Benelux and the Middle East.

CompTIA® CDIA+™ certification represents a global standard of competency in the document imaging industry. The certificationis awarded to companies and individuals that are commited to advancing the application of document management through an adherence to best practices and industry standards. Besides Ricoh Europe B.V., Ricoh Corporation shared the honours by also receiving this CDIA+™ award.

This certification validates Ricoh's level of expertise in best practices used to plan, design and implement a document managing system. Employees receive certification by passing an exam developed by the industry's leading imaging systems vendors, distributors and consulting organisations. At Linc., short for Learning Incorporated, the Ricoh Family Group sales training provider, sales and pre-sales consultants can complete the CDIA+™ certification training.

As leader in the industry, Ricoh Europe B.V. communicates the importance of certification throughout its sales territory and organisations. 'CDIA+™ professionals are what Ricoh needs,' says Frank de Moei, Manager IT Linc. at Ricoh Europe B.V. 'The CDIA+™ certification program uniquely blends together all relevant document management technologies, as well as project management essentials, a consultative approach and business analysis skills. CDIA+™ gives us the ability to see the relation between all document management systems and technologies. If you want to survive in this industry, you need to either innovate or integrate. But to truly lead, you need to do both. Ricoh continues to drive the market towards integrated, flexible and customer friendly solutions: CDIA+™ certification will continue to be one of our pillars to further professionalise our sales force and prove our expertise towards our customers.'
