Incoming faxes arrive at a remarkable 16 ppm, which is exceptional in the entry level segment. Parallel operations can be handled from memory raising efficiency and convenience in heavy traffic. Users can receive while simultaneously faxing multiple recipients without delays. With a standard 250-sheet tray (and option for 250 more on the FAX2210L), incoming fax traffic demands minimal attention.
Sending faxes is just as easy with minimal waiting time. All machines operate with a 33.6 Kbps modem, the FAX2210L offering page scanning at 1.5 seconds (6 seconds on the FAX1130L/1170L). Ample quick dial, speed dial and group dial facilities further speed document handling. The FAX2210L's automatic document feeder can take documents of 50 sheets (20 on the FAX1130L/1170L). Memory capacity at 5 MB means 400 page storage (2 MB, 160 pages on FAX1130L/1170L), and memory back up of 72 hours offers high safety and no loss of information even when paper stocks run out.
All models feature a built-in copier operating at 16 cpm. A 600 x 600 dpi printer and fast TWAIN scanner add to the FAX1170's surprising capabilities, while the FAX2210L offers colour scanning on top. Standard issue is the USB 2.0 (USB 1.1 on the FAX1170) and parallel port interface.
Roland Olthoff, Product Manager at Ricoh Europe B.V., comments: "This series offers robust, professional level and easy to operate laser faxes with scanning and printing extras for the two higher models. The 16 ppm speed of the FAX1130L and FAX1170L is quite unique for their class. All three models are durable and reliable. And with their small footprint, low weight and noise emission, I am convinced they will be an asset to any office environment with professional faxing needs."
The environmental loading of the FAX1130L/1170L and FAX2210L is minor with low energy requirement, minimised ozone output and automatic trip to energy saving mode (<15 W) after a short time of inactivity.
The FAX1130L/1170L and FAX2210L are the latest additions to Ricoh's strong fax line up, further extending the company's low and mid ranges. Ricoh currently manufactures one of the world's most extensive line ups of copiers, printers, scanners, faxes and multifunctional devices, as well as advanced software solutions.
