The Aficio™2232C/2238C offer copying, printing, faxing and network scanning capabilities in a compact, productive and easy to use device. With output speeds of 32/38 ppm and colour at 24/28 ppm, both devices are ideal for offices that demand productive mono with occasional, fast colour output. The integration of colour also enables businesses to lower their total cost of ownership by using one single MFP for all document management needs.
A range of flexible paper handling and finishing tools enable users to tailor documents with a professional look and feel. Easy to use hole punching, stapling and booklet making options help organise documents in an instant. Double-sided printing and copying capabilities are standard, with double-sided output at the same speed as single-sided. The multi-bin tray feature separates different applications, such as faxes from print jobs for added convenience, saving users time as they no longer need to search through piles of documents
The easy to use RPCS™ printer driver enables users to take full advantage of all the finishing functions and select the print settings required by simply clicking a pre-set icon. Individual settings can also be saved and used again, eliminating time-consuming programming.
The Aficio™2232C/2238C are supplied with Web Image Monitor to ensure users can be productive immediately. Facilitating the easy management, viewing and reproduction of documents stored on the device, users only need a standard web browser to view, download or reprint documents for increased efficiency.
"The tremendous success of our recent models has proven there is a rapidly growing demand for colour-capable all-in-one office devices. This trend supports our 'Black-to-Colour' strategy and encourages us to further innovate," explains Martine Straver, product manager at Ricoh Europe B.V. "These new models are the first within the Ricoh product range to include network print and scan functionalities as standard, in addition to the latest technologies for the distribution of documents via the network."
The 'scan to e-mail' function is ideal to help users save time and maximise productivity. Users can quickly and easily scan both mono and colour documents before sending them directly to the recipient by e-mail. Addresses can be manually entered using the Touch Screen Control Panel QWERTY keypad or selected from the company's e-mail address book, accessed via LDAP technology (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol). With LDAP technology, a company's e-mail addresses are extracted from the mail server, which then automatically synchronises with the Aficio™2232C/2238C.
For documents that are too large to send by e-mail, the 'scan to folder' function enables users to send documents directly to a folder on the network or even an FTP site. This is the ideal way to securely and cost-effectively share documents.
Users can also save time, paper and costs with the paperless fax feature. This function enables incoming faxes to be automatically routed to one or a number of specific e-mail addresses on the network, without the need to print out a hardcopy.
Ideal for flexible working environments and for seamless integration with existing networks, both devices come with multiple connectivity options. Wireless LAN and Bluetooth connectivity features provide users with the ability to make a single wireless connection to increase workflow. Optional USB and IEEE 1394 ('Firewire') connectivity supports all major industry standard printer languages and network environments.
IT managers benefit from the advanced network management tools available, significantly reducing time spent on administration. Web SmartDeviceMonitor™, available as standard, facilitates the central control and monitoring of the devices through a web browser interface. Both devices can be managed remotely and constantly monitored from any desktop to provide proactive communication on their status.
The Aficio™2232C/2238C are the latest additions to Ricoh's advanced range of MFPs. Ricoh currently manufactures one of the most extensive line-ups of printers, copiers, scanners, faxes and multifunctional devices, as well as advanced software solutions.
