With a first print speed of 6.5 seconds and continuous speeds of 32 A4 and 18 A3 prints per minute, the Aficio™AP600N delivers rapid results. A warm-up time of only 19 seconds adds to the printer's deployment. Additionally, double-sided printing at the maximum resolution of 1,200 dpi does not impede speed levels, ensuring delivery of high performance at all times.
A variety of paper handling options maximise productivity and efficiency. Options include a four-bin mailbox, one dedicated bin shift tray, envelope feeder and duplex unit. The 600-sheet paper capacity is expandable to 1,600 sheets, ensuring that large print jobs are swiftly completed without interruption. The paper handling inputs can handle paper sizes ranging from A5 to A3, including all common print media. An optional duplex unit supports double-sided printing at virtually the same speed as simplex, a long awaited feature for users who frequently need to print official documents such as reports. At the same time this feature enables users to easily choose to reduce paper consumption.

The Aficio™AP600N is delivered network ready, offering users the freedom of choosing a connectivity solution which best suits their working habits. It is compatible with all major network environments and comes with a standard USB2.0 for simple and quick connection for peer-to-peer use for desktop or mobile PCs. In addition, the Aficio™AP600N is designed to integrate with the wireless enterprise, offering optional Wireless LAN and Bluetooth compatibility. Optional IEEE 1394 offers IT managers the ability to employ high-speed data transfer for optimum network efficiency and workflow levels.
In addition to PCL and PostScript , the Aficio™AP600N includes the unique RPCS™ driver. The user-friendly RPCS™ driver reduces time spent on printing compared to traditional printer languages. An icon-based graphic interface allows users to pre-define and save frequently used print settings, including finishing functions. Whereas other drivers require up to 11 steps to program certain print settings, the RPCS™ driver permits printing at the touch of a button.
Ricoh's Web Image Monitor and Web SmartNetMonitor™ offer easy device management and monitoring capabilities. A built-in web browser interface allows IT managers to control networked printers remotely from any desktop. IT managers can also receive email alerts indicating the current printer status for notification, such as toner and paper supply. Meanwhile, SmartNetMonitor™ allows IT managers to swiftly set user privileges, retrieve job statistics and restrict usage where necessary at the touch of a button. Together these capabilities give administrators easy and unobtrusive access and minimise downtime.
