| | Ricoh plans to entirely offset its CO2 emissions by 2010 through the use of the Clean Development Mechanism which allows companies to continue emitting a limited amount of CO2 if they contribute to reforestation and other projects in developing countries. |
| In line with the Kyoto protocol, Ricoh plans to reduce emissions to zero. Through energy conservation and other measures, emissions will be reduced by 12% by 2010, with the other 88% to come through the use of the Clean Development Mechanism. Source: AFX European Focus (October 5, 2003) |
