Ricoh joins the UN Global Compact

In April, 2002, Ricoh Company, Ltd. became a signatory of the UN Global Compact, a voluntary corporate initiative. The Global Compact contains nine guiding principles ranging from the environment to labor practices and human rights, seeking "to advance responsible corporate citizenship so that business can be part of the solution to the challenges of globalisation." Over 1600 leading corporations from the US, Europe and Japan are now practicing members.
