|  Amstelveen, The Netherlands, December 2010 – Ricoh Europe (Netherlands) B.V. today launched the Aficio™MP C3001/MP C3501, two multi-functional printers designed to speed up document production. They offer a print/copy speed of 30/35 pages per minute after a warm-up time of only 23 seconds, while recovery after sleep is a mere 13 seconds. Office productivity is further increased by quota setting, an optional USB/SD slot, and Ricoh’s new App2Me software platform. |
“High-speed colour output is a key requirement for busy offices. With a first colour copy created in only 7.8 seconds, the Aficio™MP C3001/MP C3501 are designed to meet this need and increase productivity in the workplace,” says Maaike Giling, Product Manager at Ricoh Europe. “A further time-saver is the optional USB/SD slot, which enables files to be printed directly from a USB memory or SD card without a PC.”
Reducing print cost is also a key driving force at Ricoh. The Aficio™MP C3001/MP C3501 save money and reduce environmental impact at the same time. A standard feature allows businesses to set and manage the number of outputs each individual or group produces, helping to reduce unnecessary printing.
These multi-functionals are highly versatile, printing heavyweight papers up to 300 g/m2, making them ideal for the quick turnaround of items printed on thick stock, such as direct mail or Point of Purchase material. Maximum paper capacity is 4,400 sheets. An optional envelope feeder is available.
The Aficio™MP C3001/MP C3501 adhere to the highest level of security currently available. Standard HDD Encryption encodes data generated on the devices, while Data Overwrite Security overwrites all temporary data on the HDD. An additional security feature is scan to web mail (SMTP over SSL), to protect scanned information.
The devices also feature Ricoh’s App2Me software platform. App2Me is designed to make work more convenient for busy employees who frequently need to change locations. No matter where they go, users keep their personalised workflow settings for Ricoh App2Me MFPs on their PCs. Simply pressing the App2Me button displays Widgets on the colour display of the MFP and gives users fast access to the latest tools and applications available.
As with all Ricoh products, reducing environmental impact is a prime focus. The Aficio™MP C3001/MP C3501 have eco-friendly and money-saving features such as fast duplex printing, ultra-low sleep mode and outstanding toner yield. For a fast warm-up time the devices incorporate Ricoh’s IH roller fusing system. Their already low Typical Electricity Consumption (TEC) is further enhanced by the Eco Mode setting, which can help reduce energy use significantly. In addition, Ricoh products are Energy Star compliant. This means less CO2 is produced in providing the energy needed to run Ricoh devices.
