| | London, 23 November, 2010 – Ricoh Europe, a specialist in office solutions, managed document services and production printing presented Roger Federer with the ‘ATPWorldTour.com Fans’ Favourite Award’ after his opening match at the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals at The O2 arena in London on Sunday. |
The award, sponsored by Ricoh, was the result of online voting by fans around the world. This is the eighth year running that Roger Federer has received the fans’ favourite award, demonstrating his enormous popularity.
Presenting the award, Ricoh Europe’s Director of Corporate Communications Javier Diez-Aguirre said: “Roger is an inspiration to his fans, constantly displaying expertise and innovating in his game to achieve success. Ricoh is proud to present this award to someone who clearly shares the same values as we do, aiming for excellence at all times.”
Accepting the award, Federer said: “I would like to thank my fans for voting me once again. The fans inspire me to play this wonderful game.”
The ATPWorldTour.com fans’ favourite award presented by Ricoh is one of several year-end ATP awards being given out during the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals in London this week. Along with the ATPWorldTour.com Fans’ Favourite Doubles Team, it is the only award decided by the public, with 47% of the votes in Federer’s favour in the 2010 poll.
