Ricoh launches Streamline NX document management software

Ricoh’s Streamline NX is a powerful suite of scalable, integrated document management applications that will help businesses reduce costs by maximising the effectiveness and efficiency of their document governance. Ricoh/Coleman Parkes research¹ reveals that companies spend up to five per cent of their annual turnover on document governance, while global IT analysts IDC estimate that the use of document solutions and print management services can lower total costs by up to 30-40 per cent.² A business with annual revenue of €10 million spending five per cent on document management could save €200,000 every year by implementing Streamline NX.

Streamline NX is the first document management software in the market to provide an integrated suite of comprehensive applications for both users and administrators. For IT administrators, the software gives a detailed picture of how many documents are scanned, faxed, printed and shared right across the business, helping them identify cost savings in print and distribution. The management tool also lets administrators control user access to printing, scanning and digital distribution functions. The ability to set quotas and create policies to manage the use of the Multifunction printer fleet enables more effective security and greater sustainability.

For employees, Streamline NX helps protect their confidential information and eliminates waste. A single sign-on means users release their documents for printing only when they are ready to collect them while unwanted documents are never printed. Once users are signed-on, they are able to use the Multifunction printer’s intuitive display to access customised workflows for scanning and distributing documents. This customisation means users can only access functions they’re authorised to, minimising the risk of human error, while the intuitive interface means tasks are completed quickly, resulting in improved employee productivity.
