| Amstelveen, The Netherlands, January 2010 – Ricoh Europe (Netherlands) B.V. today announced the launch of its new Digital Duplicators, the Priport™DX 3243/DX 3443. These systems are designed specifically to handle large-volume print jobs at low cost. They produce up to 130 prints per minute and can easily be integrated into a LAN network. With quality output and the latest security features, the DX 3243/DX 3443 are ideally suited for schools and office environments. |
“At Ricoh, we are committed to enhancing our customers’ workflows with the devices we design,” says Maria Palaiologou, Product Manager at Ricoh Europe. “For the DX 3243/DX 3443 we have developed solutions that enable cost allocation, network services and device monitoring. Such options extend users’ control over processes and make their document production more efficient. The duplicators are also compatible with our popular @Remote tool, which helps users to manage their costs effectively.”
The DX 3243/DX 3443 are highly productive. Printing at speeds of 80, 100 or 130 sheets per minute, they handle large jobs in little time. Continuous productivity is ensured by the retry paper feed, which processes all paper types smoothly. Very light paper poses no problem. The digital duplicators can also be used as top-speed printers with the addition of an optional printer controller.
The DX 3243/DX 3443 have an A3 paper feeder and will scan A3 source materials. This is especially convenient for users who need to scan from books. Book scans are cleaned up automatically, ensuring there are no dark centres or visible edges on the prints.
Digital duplication technology is extremely cost-efficient. The more prints are made from one master, the lower the price per print. The DX 3243/DX 3443 further increase efficiency with their auto-shutoff function, a feature that results in lower energy bills. And because the device can reduce A3-size documents to A4, users can also reduce their paper costs
Because its processes do not involve heating, digital duplication uses less electricity than other printer types. This means reduced energy consumption and a lower carbon footprint. Users are also assured of a clean and quiet working environment.
The DX 3243/DX 3443 offers outstanding ease of use. It has a multipurpose LCD that displays step-by-step instructions for operation. Troubleshooting is facilitated by visual instructions. Masters can be removed effortlessly with the hinge-type eject unit and snap-open eject box.
The Priport™DX 3243/DX 3443 are the latest additions to Ricoh's advanced range of digital office equipment. Ricoh currently manufactures one of the world's most extensive line-ups of printers, copiers, faxes and multifunctional devices, as well as advanced software solutions. Priport™DX 3243
