Highly productive but with a small footprint, they are intended for desktop use in small to medium businesses. Both models can easily be embedded in a network. The printers are suitable for personal use or for sharing by a small group of users. The SP C231N/SP C232DN offer high-quality colour output at an attractive Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). |
“There is an increasing demand for laser colour for general office use,” says Chi Chung Man, Product Manager at Ricoh. “With the SP C231N/SP C232DN it is more affordable than ever before. These printers’ newly-developed long-yield cartridges result in the lowest cost per page in their segment. The SP C231N/SP C232DN are compact, fast, and accept such media as envelopes, glossy and heavy paper. They are networkable and can be shared. In short: they are designed to meet general business needs perfectly.”
The SP C231N/SP C232DN can boast high productivity rates. Their first print is out in 14 seconds, resulting in short waiting times. The devices print continuously at a speed of 20 pages per minute, whether in B/W or colour. The SP C232DN also has a standard duplex unit, adding to its cost-efficiency. With a maximum paper capacity of 751 sheets, users do not need to worry about frequent refills.
User-friendliness is always a concern for Ricoh. The SP C231N/SP C232DN are full-front operable and consumable replacement is simple. The all-in-one cartridges can easily be replaced with one hand. Drum and toner cartridge come out in one go, which means that maintenance is minimal. The printers also possess a new operation panel with two-line display for easy access to their functions. The machine status can be monitored and changed from the user’s computer with Status Image Monitor.
Due to their clean and quiet operation, the Aficio™SP C231N/SP C232DN contribute to a more comfortable work environment. Their maximum power consumption is less than 1.3 kW. In energy saver mode, this is reduced to as little as 15 W.
