Productivity is the MP 6001/MP 7001/MP 8001/MP 9001's hallmark. Characterised by short warm-up times and quick recovery, the devices deal with high volumes at short notice. With a maximum paper input capacity of 8,300 sheets, printing and copying can continue uninterrupted. The MP 6001/MP 7001/MP 8001/MP 9001 will scan double-sided originals in one pass. In simplex mode, colour images are scanned at 55 images per minute (ipm); B/W originals pass at 80 ipm. In duplex mode, these figures rise to an impressive 90 ipm in colour and 130 ipm in monochrome. This productivity is aided by the fact that the ADF (automatic document feeder) can process up to 250 sheets (69 g/m²) at once.
In the best Ricoh tradition, the MP 6001/MP 7001/MP 8001/MP 9001 are easy to use. Their wide colour touch screens make job setting and troubleshooting straightforward. For easy, efficient document distribution, the devices offer scan to e-mail, folder, URL and NCP as well as LDAP address search functions. B/W and colour files can also be scanned directly to a USB stick or SD card. To facilitate paper replacement, the trays have easy-grip handles.
The MP 6001/MP 7001/MP 8001/MP 9001 have several cost- and energy-saving features. Users can save paper by previewing and checking documents on-screen or by using the advanced push scan functions. An automatic duplex unit is standard on all models. Ricoh's Quick Start-Up technology allows the devices to switch quickly between Energy Saver and Ready modes. The result is an increased use of the Energy Saver mode and reduced energy consumption. To monitor their entire fleet and keep track of print expenses, users can opt for @Remote.
