Ricoh Europe plc Extends Brand Across Two European Subsidiaries

London, UK, 16 July, 2009 - Ricoh Europe plc, digital office solutions and production printing specialist, today announced that two further European subsidiaries have been rebranded as Ricoh Group companies.

As part of the Group's plan to standardise business processes, build a single management structure and raise overall brand awareness in the region, Gestetner South Africa has become  Ricoh South Africa and Ricoh Denmark has been created through the integration of IKON Denmark and NRG Scandinavia.

Through best practice and knowledge sharing, the Ricoh Group creates opportunities for all of its stakeholders, including customers and employees. The name changes demonstrate the Group's commitment to adding value to its customers bottom-line by providing access to an unrivalled international network and research & development capabilities. With an integrated organisation and consistent brand, Ricoh is able to strengthen its offerings and be even more responsive to client needs.

For customers and employees, it remains business as usual and Ricoh's successful "multi brand, multi channel strategy", will continue to apply. This will allow Ricoh to maximise its market place flexibility, presence and responsiveness.

Richard Pinker, Managing Director of Ricoh South Africa, says "As Ricoh South Africa, we are presenting a consistent face of our global brand to the market. The name change is a part of the overall brand strategy to raise awareness of the brand and demonstrates Ricoh's commitment to the South African market. We will continue to work closely with our customers and partners to ensure that they get the best technology and solutions for their document management needs."

Per Hagklint, Managing Director of Ricoh Denmark, added, "The integration of IKON Denmark and NRG Scandinavia into the newly formed Ricoh Denmark allows us to offer customers an enhanced portfolio of services and solutions that exceeds their expectations through quality, productivity and efficiency. As Ricoh Denmark, we will present a coherent brand identity to the Nordics market and ensure our customers benefit from access to a broad international network with extensive manufacturing and engineering capabilities."

"It is an exciting time for Ricoh as we realise our plan to extend the Ricoh brand across subsidiaries globally," said Jim Potter, Executive Vice President of Ricoh Europe plc. "The rebranding to Ricoh is in line with our goal to enhance consistency across the Group and support the company's drive to raise brand awareness in EMEA. Ricoh helps people and businesses to move their ideas forward with sincerity and passion by providing added value as a true global innovation and solutions provider."
