| Amstelveen, The Netherlands, April 2009 - Ricoh Europe (Netherlands) B.V. today announced the launch of its new digital duplicators. The newly-designed Priport™DX 2330 and DX 2430 offer high productivity at low Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). The duplicators are characterised by reliability and ease of use. They are specifically marketed towards customers with a limited budget in need of high-speed and quality printing. Equipped with several added value features, the DX 2330/DX 2430 primarily target schools. |
"The DX 2330 and DX 2430 set themselves apart from the competition by their remarkably high cost efficiency and environment-friendly functions," comments Maria Palaiologou, Product Manager at Ricoh Europe. "Moreover, users can easily add a touch of colour to their documents by replacing the devices' colour drum. With a printer controller and interface kit option, the DX 2330/DX 2430 are turned into high-speed, network-ready printers. We are pleased to offer our customers these productive and reliable solutions at a truly attractive price." The DX 2330/DX 2430 print up to 90 pages per minute (ppm) on media ranging from light to heavy. The DX 2330 processes A4-size originals; the DX 2430 processes B4 sheets. Due to their highly reliable paper feed, the devices have no problem handling paper as light as 35 g/m². Feed and separation pressure are adjustable. The systems' sensors detect any misfeeds and retry automatically. These features minimise user intervention and guarantee continuous productivity. The more prints are made from one master, the lower the DX 2330/DX 2430's cost per page. This is a specific benefit of digital duplication. Another financially beneficial characteristic is that the printing process does not require heat. Consequently, the DX 2330/DX 2430 use less electricity than other printer types, keeping the running cost low. The machines are also quiet and do not emit dust. This reduces their environmental impact and makes them well-suited for placement in an office. Spot colour printing is possible with optional colour drum units. These colour drums are easily replaceable. The ink is available in ten standard colours; an unlimited number of others can be custom-made. The DX 2330/DX 2430 also possess several editing capabilities to add value to documents. Images can be enlarged, reduced or combined to fit two A5 images on one A4 sheet. Functions like these enable users to create professional-looking booklets. The devices' 300 dpi print resolution and Photo/letter mode for mixed documents ensure high print quality. The Priport™DX 2330/DX 2430 are the latest additions to Ricoh's advanced range of digital office equipment. Ricoh currently manufactures one of the world's most extensive line-ups of printers, copiers, faxes and multifunctional devices, as well as advanced software solutions.
