To meet this growing need for high productivity, the SP 5100N boasts a 500 MHz high performance controller and optional 40 GB hard disk drive. Frequent jobs can be stored on the mainframe and printed on demand. It takes only 8.5 seconds for the first print to come out. Printing is continued at an impressive 43 ppm (A4). Power consumption is a modest 650 W and less than 13 W in energy saver mode.
In accordance with the demands of cost conscious offices, the Aficio™SP 5100N brings high performance monochrome printing at a modest price. Apart from affordability, reliability and user friendliness are also essential. Multi-user environments will benefit from the SP 5100N’s substantial duty cycle of maximum 200,000 prints per month, as well as its user friendly features, such as the intuitive operation panel. Real-time device monitoring via the web and management of user privileges are included in Ricoh’s bundled software suite. The latest network connectivity technologies, such as Gigabit Ethernet USB 2.0 and bi-directional IEEE 1284 are available as plug-and-play options.
Space requirements are minimal: the Aficio™SP 5100N’s optional duplex unit is integrated into the mainframe. Installation and maintenance are straightforward: users can easily replenish paper and all-in-one toner themselves. Thanks to the straight paper path, a wide variety of media can be handled up to 163 g/m², making printing on labels, transparencies and envelopes effortless. The 600-sheet paper capacity is expandable to 2,100 sheets, ensuring that large print jobs are completed swiftly and without interruption.
