The SP 1000SF and SP 1000S offer plug and play convenience and 16 ppm output at professional 600 dpi quality. Thanks to the 250-sheet paper input tray, continuous productivity is guaranteed without the need for constant paper refills. The convenient 1-sheet bypass tray handles heavy paper types up to 162 g/m².
Both the SP 1000SF and SP 1000S offer colour scanning as well as high quality laser printing and copying capabilities. While the 50-sheet Automatic Document Feeder (SP 1000SF) facilitates feeding of larger documents, books and magazines can be digitised directly from the platen glass. The handy USB interface lets users directly scan to or print from their USB memory device, further optimising their dynamic workflow.
The SP 1000SF also answers the users’ fax demands. While messages are transmitted in a mere 2.5 seconds, users can speed up their fax workflow with 250 speed dials, 32 group dials or 20 one-touch dials. Thanks to the large shared memory, the SP 1000SF will continue to receive and store faxes even when the device should run out of paper.
Over the last few years, the European market size for low end office machines has greatly expanded. Competition is becoming increasingly fierce since more and more printer vendors are entering the market with multifunctional desktop models. Kaoruko Abe, Product Manager at Ricoh Europe B.V., explains: “Ricoh is already market leader in the low volume market segment. By introducing the economical, service free SP 1000SF and SP 1000S, we aim to realise additional sales growth. With their low priced mainframe and self-service all-in-one toner cartridge, we have a competitive advantage over traditional printer vendors.
The SP 1000SF and SP 1000S are the latest additions to Ricoh’s advanced range of digital office equipment. Ricoh currently manufactures one of the world’s most extensive line ups of printers, copiers, scanners, faxes and multifunctional devices, and offers advanced software solutions as well.
