| | Ricoh has reported a net profit for the first half of this year of ¥ 42.27 billion, up from ¥ 33.53 billion a year earlier with strong sales in European markets. |
Total sales were up from ¥ 856.67 billion to ¥ 888.09 billion. Sales in the office equipment business were up 3.5% to ¥ 755.5 billion, mainly because of an increase in overseas sales of printing systems and digital PPC units. Sales in Europe were up 18.5% to ¥ 196.9 billion, while sales in Asia were up 5.9%, mainly because of the strong demand for optical disks and semiconductors. For more info, please go to:
