UK’s Jasprint Chooses Ricoh Pro C901 at drupa 2012
London, May 2012 - Jasprint, a second-generation family commercial printer has purchased a Ricoh Pro C901 Graphic Arts Edition at drupa 2012. The company was established 31 years ago and is currently operated by brothers John and Adrian Rowell. It added full color digital printing more than a decade ago. Serving trade customers and agencies in both the private and public sectors, it produces traditional printed materials such as brochures, catalogues, business cards, flyers and also handles direct mail campaigns using its hybrid offset/digital production platform.
As with many forward-thinking companies in the printing industry, the Rowell brothers visited drupa 2012, to ensure that they remain current with the latest trends and technologies. “Having had very positive experiences with the Ricoh service organisation who had been servicing our Digimaster monochrome press, Ricoh was on the top of our list to visit at drupa,” said John Rowell. “Our original intent was to find a new monochrome press to replace our existing monochrome press.”
“When we saw the demonstration of the Pro C901,” Rowell added, “we were amazed. The quality was so much better than our current digital color press and it is 20 pages per minute faster. It is our belief that the Pro C901 will also have better reliability contributing to increased throughput. This made the purchase decision quite easy.”
“The Ricoh Pro C901 will replace our older generation color digital digital press,” John Rowell explained, While cost and print quality are critical they also anticipate a 30% increase in increased production speed and a 50% reduction in downtime with the Pro C901 as compared to their current press. “The Pro C901 exactly fits our production needs in terms of speed, print volumes and quality,” John Rowell said. “We want to offer our clients the best possible service, and with Ricoh we simply have the best partner in the industry to help us do that. The Pro C901 will enable us to develop new client offerings as well as provide the fast turnarounds they are demanding today.”
