Amstelveen, The Netherlands, August 2011 – Ricoh Europe (Netherlands) B.V. today launched the Aficio MP 171LN, a light, affordable multifunctional product (MFP) ideal for a wide range of functions in general office environments. This durable A4 MFP has been designed to boost productivity through its quick warm-up time and print speed of 17 pages per minute. The compact MP 171LN also benefits from Ricoh’s unique low energy toner production method that helps reduce its environmental impact.

The Aficio MP 171LN offers affordable, all-in-one copy, print and network scan multitasking. It improves office productivity with a short warm-up time, first output of 7.5 seconds or less, and output of 17 pages per minute. Its sturdy design and robust, long-lasting parts ensure maximum uptime and high performance. The MP 171LN connects seamlessly to any network via its standard Network Interface Card, providing easy access for multiple users.

As with other Ricoh products, the MP 171LN is Energy Star compliant: it complies with the industry standard for energy efficiency. Both energy and paper are saved through double-sided printing with the standard duplex unit, without loss of productivity. Having the MP 171LN as a single, shared multifunctional device lowers the Total Cost of Ownership.

The internal printer controller makes printing easy, enabling users to create professional-looking documents quickly and cost-efficiently, in-house. The MP 171LN can handle paper sizes from A6 up to A4 in weights from 60 to 157 g/m2 and offers colour scanning that can capture virtually any type of image. Standard network connectivity means scanned images can be sent anywhere on the network. Ricoh’s @Remote monitoring solution automatically collects and sends meter readings and online notification of toner and other supply requirements, eliminating manual processes and saving valuable time.

The MP 171LN is very easy to install and use. All the MFP functions are easily accessible via a clear, 4-line control panel display. To save more valuable time, there is full front access for all regular maintenance.
