| | | Official Office Solutions partner of the ATP | | | Ricoh and ATP Tennis World Tour have been partners since March 2005. As the world’s only and truly global sporting circuit, attracting billions of fans, this partnership fits perfectly with our desire to innovate and to succeed throughout the world. |
As the Official Office Solutions partner of the ATP, the Ricoh brand is displayed alongside the serving speedometer and is prominently positioned on the Ricoh Umpire’s chair, a favourite TV hotspot. We also sponsor the Hawkeye® graphics at a number of ATP Masters Series events in Europe. The Hawk Eye is an animated reconstruction of the movements of the ball and is used to determine if the ball is ‘in’ or ‘out’. The agreement also includes our sponsorship of the official Ricoh ATP Match Facts, available online and distributed after every ATP Tour match.
In addition to brand awareness, the ATP back-office operations rely on our printing and copying solutions, utilising our digital office equipment to support the onsite needs of the most prestigious ATP European events. The average output over a week of tournament ranges from 100,000 to 200,000 pages of information distributed to officials, media and sponsors. Ricoh Europe Extends ATP Partnership to become Platinum Partner | |
In 2010, we extended our existing partnership agreement with the ATP, governing body for the men’s professional ATP tennis circuit, with an additional year, extending it to include the 2012 season.
As part of the new agreement, Ricoh will sponsor six additional European ATP Masters tournaments from 2010 to 2012 in Spain, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Sweden and Switzerland, increasing the total number of tournaments it sponsors from 6 to 12. Ricoh has also extended its existing sponsorship of events in Monte Carlo, Rome, Madrid, Hamburg, Paris and the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals until 2012.
Ricoh will continue to support the official Ricoh ATP MatchFacts, distributed after every ATP Tour match. In addition, Ricoh's on-court branding at the twelve tournaments includes the umpire chairs, speed-serve displays and TV graphics.
Simon Sasaki, Chairman and CEO, Ricoh Europe said, “By extending our partnership in Europe, it also strongly reflects how we are growing and evolving as a business. Organisations today need the assurance of extensive service levels from their technology partners. The ATP World Tour offers us a platform to communicate our service and support capabilities directly to our customers. Also, like the professional players, we strive to be the best and move ideas forward, by continually innovating and improving”.
